Net2TV, a startup in Silicon Valley, repackages short form video from partners including Google Play, the App Store and the OTT service Roku. Viewership was falling well short of goals and they suspected their user experience and product user interface was the problem. They needed to grow their audience but they lacked the internal design expertise. The founder and VP of Programming contacted David and asked for help.
David met with the exec team to get input and define project scope. He began by conducting a comprehensive competitive analysis in both the OTT and Smart TV application space. Next, David organized, scripted and facilitated a qualitative consumer test using the Net2TV product. Consumer’s were screened, selected and tested. Results were tabulated and combined in a document that included UI diagrams of best practices, product design recommendations, a features roadmap and UI mockups.
